Founded more than 250 years ago by an enterprising Venetian, Scarpa began producing Vermouth di Torino in the early 20thcentury. Production stuttered during two world wars and various recessions before beginning again in earnest in 2014 with a Rosso and Bianco, both made exclusively using local Moscato d’Asti DOCG. Now, Scarpa has topped it off with the world’s first unfiltered, Extra Dry Vermouth di Torino. Unusually dry, unfiltered and made with the native grape Cortese and only local herbs and aromatics, it redefines the craft vermouth category and deserves its place on every serious bar.
